SAFETY
Contraindications to participating in a breathwork and ice bath session include
- Epilepsy
- Pregnancy
- Raynauds
- Diabetes
- Detached Retina
- Glaucoma
- High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication
- Low blood Pressure
- Cardiovascular Disease including but not limited to prior heart attack
- Use of Prescription Blood Thinners such as Coumadin
- History of Aneurysms in immediate family
- Strokes, TIAs, seizures or other brain/neurological condition or disease
- Osteoporosis whereby intense movement could cause physical issues
- NOTE: ASTHMA IS NOT A CONTRAINDICATION BUT I ASK THAT YOU BRING YOUR INHALER TO THE WORKSHOP IF YOU HAVE ASTHMA
Where medical advice needs to be sought before a breathwork session
- Prior diagnosis by a health professional of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
- Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last 2 years
Please let me know if you have any of the above they are something that I need to be aware of during a session. If you have any of the above it does not mean you cannot take part in a session it may mean that the breathwork session needs to be adjusted though.
