Glass walking creates an opportunity to move past your limitations as you are supported to walk over a glass walk. You will give yourself permission to step into the unknown. Walking barefoot over hundreds of pieces of broken glass is an experience that can only be fully appreciated once you have done it. Slowing it down and noticing your minds story and your bodies reaction. Glass walking brings mindfulness to a whole new level as you fully tune into your body and realise how your past conditioning controls your present day mind. Think how many times you were told not to touch broken glass because you may get cut. Notice the relationship of this narrative and how it fuels your fears as you face the glass. Notice as you take your first steps on the glass how you are instantly transported to a place of peace, presence and stillness. Connecting with your breath to deepen your presence of self as you reclaim your power that you can do this and release the restrictions of your past conditioning.
What I love about the glass walk is the opportunity to really slow everything down, feel my own body and notice the thoughts in my mind. In order to cross the glass you need support of others this is a real team effort as two people will be there for you in support which in itself can be powerful to allow and accept the support and to support others in their challenge welcoming whatever may come up. It's a reminder that in life there are times when we need the support of others to just be there for you and to lean-to that with appreciation and acknowledgement.
